Our Story

Rick & Terri Young have been married and living in Roosevelt, UT for 38 years. Together they have 4 kids and 9 beautiful grandchildren. Over the years, both Rick and Terri have always worked closely with youth. They valiantly served in several callings for their church youth programs and their own home has always been a haven for the neighborhood kids to come have fun whether it was sledding, swimming or just hanging out.

Together they worked as Independent Associates for USANA Health Sciences where they became very successful. Instead of using their success to build a private cabin in the woods for themselves, they searched for a place where they could build an environment that others could enjoy as well. That’s when they found their first piece of land in Roosevelt, Utah which they bought with their vision of strengthening today's youth in mind. They have worked hard to turn the land into a full working ranch that borders a reservoir where they have developed campsites, swimming ponds, rope swings, trails and more. Today it is known as RY Ranch.
In 2009 they hosted the first youth group camp from Highland, Utah. They had such a great experience with the youth and their amazing leaders (pictured above) that they have donated their land/resources to other groups since then. The YSBA was created as an official nonprofit in 2021 in order to expand and grow their resources to benefit even more youth through donations.
Rick & Terri love nothing more than seeing kids experience the great outdoors, face their fears and share their testimonies all with smiles on their faces. They have made it a focus in their life to give youth the opportunity to have those experiences and that is why you’ll see both Rick & Terri out working on the Ranch.
